APPROACH
DOCUMENTARY – PHOTOJOURNALISM – REPORTAGE
In photographing your wedding, I will take a very natural approach to documenting the day. It’s a monumental day in your life, and every couple should enjoy it to the absolute maximum, safe in the knowledge that those beautiful little moments that mean so much are captured in a genuine and artistic way.
Real-life moments of love, laughter, tears, tantrums, out-takes, piss-takes, craic, hugs, the odd kiss and moments of pure bliss is what I photograph. Mothers, fathers, siblings, best friends, kids – are all important characters in your wedding story and I focus heavily on these folk, as well as the happy couple. My only aim is to record these moments with minimal intrusion on your day. When it comes to wedding photography, a photographer should be ever-present but largely unnoticeable. Your wedding day will be shot with a documentary approach.
I do take a few minutes to create some beautiful portraits of each couple and their families. The key is to be efficient with time – it’s about minimising the time spent posing and maximising the time spent enjoying the day with your loved ones. You won’t be tormented with never-ending portraits, and for those few minutes are taking them, we’ll make it enjoyable.

ABOUT ME
I love nothing more than having good laugh, and so I’m always in search of humour in my photography. A Limerick-man by birth, I moved to Tipperary in 2019 to the little lakeside village of Ballina with my beautiful wife and 2 gorgeous little girls. Music-mad, football-mad and pre-kids, travel-mad. I picked up my first camera while living in Canada, I bought my first pro-camera while living in New Zealand, and since then I’ve been photography-mad. Back to Ireland a couple of years later, into photography college four days after returning. Graduated. Hundreds of weddings later, I have built a successful business and I get to do what I genuinely love doing every week – photographing people. I meet brilliant couples and their families, get invited into their inner circles for an amazing day in their lives, and I’m surrounded by them at their happiest – I am grateful that I enjoy my work so much.
The mugshot below of me was taken by my then 2 year-old, one of my two little apprentices on the morning of every wedding helping me out.
